Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3, "you must be born again". As Christians we many times hear this and reflect on that first moment we believed in Jesus and while this represents the moment of our spiritual birth there is so much more to being born again. Birth is beginning it is not the whole story. How many of us spend a lot of time each day contemplating our physical birth? Usually we are too busy living to give it much thought. Many times Christians seem fixated on being born again and began to question their new birth. We compare our new birth with that of others and may get distracted from the point of being born again, LIVING! We have a new life in Christ that we need to get busy living. Our old fleshy nature needs to die and our new nature in Christ needs to grow. This happens through faith in Jesus Christ study of the Word of God and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. If you have been born again then start living in Him.
