A Note From Pastor Sam
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20
This is a simple verse that outlines the necessary elements of effective communication yet it is very hard to implement. It is one that if practiced it will save us a lot of grief in the long run. If we just listened a little longer, spoke a little less and refused to be offended we would have a lot less stress and a lot less problems. The hardest place to act in this way is usually in the home. Home is the place where we let our guard down and don’t feel we have to impress anyone. In letting our guard down we need to remember to continue to love and continue to walk in the Spirit. My anger has never produced a righteous outcome, it has only served to offend and hurt others. The fruit of the Spirit growing in me however serves to edify and encourage other believers while at the same time producing the righteousness of God.

Glen and Rita Chapman - Glen faced a situation where he was called to court due to an allegation of illegal prospecting(!). The case has been postponed for unknown reasons. We hope it just gets dropped! Glen and the Mission were targets of a sorcery attack, but Glen challenged the man he believed to be responsible.
The work of moving forward with recasting the Kikongo Pastoral school as a University is getting started. An additional family of Americans, the Williams, is aiming to come to Kikongo but first must raise their support!
Rita was able to travel to San Diego to see their new grandchild, who was born while she was winging her way there!
Shawn, Dee, and Pari Collins - Shawn has returned from Ireland where he met with WordSign team members. Pari continues to wear her chest brace and is settling in to it, but needs care to keep from developing irritated spots due to the brace. They are deciding between expensive car repairs and a replacement car they can't afford! Pray for discernment. Praise that they received extra support so they were able to fly to Texas to see their latest grand baby!
Ed and Miriam Noyes - The Noyes have become grandparents with the birth of Anisa on February 13 in New Zealand!
Russell and Sharla Wiesner and family - Classes have started at the Learning Center in Kuala Lumpur!
Russ and Sharla will be involved in a new church plant in Kuala Lumpur. Pray that people who have never heard the gospel will hear and be converted!
Jews for Jesus - There are continuing ministry opportunities in the Ukraine as the war in the eastern part of the country continues.
Jews for Jesus reminds us that fruit in witnessing to Jews comes little-by-little and a few at a time, unlike some areas where thousands respond at once. Keep prying for continued diligence and support!
Eileen Lesher - Eileen is enjoying her time serving in Papua New Guinea. Eileen continues to teach a 4 year pre-school class 3 mornings a week and a high school Child Development class every afternoon. The school year is close to finishing Term 3. Coming up in March is the bi-annual conference. Eileen will be assisting with the children’s program while the adults attend meetings. Ukraumpa has been getting plenty of rain and she wishes she could send us some.
